Troops hold dawn rehearsal for royal wedding function

Hundreds of troops have paraded through the blank streets of London in a dawn preparation for their ceremonial function during the royal wedding.

Wednesday's walkthrough saw army, navy and air force staff in full identical lining the route Prince William and Kate Middleton will follow between Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey.



Mounted troops of the family Cavalry escorted a horse-drawn horse and carriage.

Opening at about 5 a.m., the troops experienced and timed their roles to the next for Friday's celebrations — but devoid of the crowds likely on the day.
